The event will mark the 90th anniversary of Seney National Wildlife Refuge and will feature a compelling lineup of speakers and celebratory festivities that highlight the refuge’s natural and cultural history. Loonapalooza Lectures 2025 kicks off at 2:00 PM at the Erickson Center’s Pine Performance Center, offering four dynamic presentations from leading regional historians, scientists, and conservationists. The lectures are free and open to the public.

Celebrate!

A celebratory social event for Friends of Seney NWR members follows the lectures, beginning at 6:30 PM at Erickson Center for the Arts. Friends of Seney NWR will enjoy refreshments, fun activities and good company, and the chance to celebrate the refuge’s 90th birthday in true Upper Peninsula style.
