Construction of the new visitor center/headquarters complex on the Seney Refuge will begin in spring 2023. The Visitor Center was demolished a year ago to make way for a modern facility that will include exciting new educational exhibits, a state-of-the-art theatre, and a new nature store space. The current headquarters building will be demolished in spring 2023, with groundbreaking for the new complex scheduled for May 2023. In addition to construction of the new visitor center/office complex, the project includes new roofing for the Youth Conservation Corps barn and well house, updates to the outdoor restroom near the fire tower and sidewalk and parking lot improvements. A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for May 10, 2023. Stay tuned!
