Auto-Drives Reopening Spring 2023

Hurray! The Marshland Drive and Fishing Loop will be OPEN this spring! If you visited the refuge last summer, you were probably disappointed to learn that the drives were closed in 2022 for bridge repair. Crews spent last year repairing bridge decking and rails and rebuilding concrete structures under each bridge that control water flow between pools. Contractors have about a week of work left to finish the project this spring. If the weather cooperates, the auto drives will open Monday, May 15, 2023. There will be some changes to the route for the drives. Look for details soon.
